Is there a cost or fee associated with Phelps Preferred membership?

There are no requirements or fees to join Phelps Preferred. Upon enrollment, you are agreeing to accept automatic shipments of wine throughout the year. Orders ship in March, April, October, and November, and are billed prior to shipping. We have three tiers of membership (Original, Flagship, Collector), which vary in quantity per shipment.

How do I receive the tasting benefits?

What makes a membership active and how many times can I visit each year? Our active members receive complimentary or Phelps Preferred pricing on tasting experiences for up to a party of four per reservation. To become an active member and receive these benefits, the purchase of two past shipments, or a six-bottle equivalent is required prior to your initial visit. Our winery is open by appointment only and subject to availability.

Will I have the ability to customize a shipment or pause my membership?

Our wines are pre-selected by our winemaking team each year for the four shipments annually. However, we will send you a notification prior to your shipment, and you will have the ability to make changes to your wine selections as long as you meet the minimum bottle requirement per your Membership agreement. Our Customer Service team would be happy to discuss special requests directly with you.

How long does my membership last?

Can I cancel at any time? All of the membership offerings are offered as subscription programs that automatically renew unless and until you cancel your membership, or your membership is terminated. In order to cancel your subscription, you may login to your account, select Club Memberships, and then on the right hand column, choose “Cancel Membership. You may also call us at (707) 967-3701 or email PREFERRED@JOSEPHPHELPS.COM. We must receive your notice of cancellation at least one week prior to the next shipment. Processed shipments will not be refunded.

Are membership benefits transferable?

Phelps Preferred membership benefits are non-transferable. An active member must be present and part of your group’s reservation to receive the membership pricing and tasting benefits.
