1987 Insignia
Winemaker Notes Low crop yields and intense berry flavors characterized the 1987 vintage. This year’s blend offers rich, black currant flavors, exotic tobacco leaf aromas and a spicy cherry-like component. The result is a striking wine that at this point is still quite young and will improve for many years.

Magnificent. Dark, ripe, dense, chewy and
enormously concentrated, it's clearly one of the stars of the vintage. (1997)
