1979 Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes The Cabernet Sauvignon component of this wine is a blend of grapes grown on the eastern side of the valley floor near Oakville, together with the first significant vines on our home ranch in St. Helena. The relatively high Merlot addition has served to make the wine more appreciably forward and it drinks well now. The aroma is a combination of green olive and mint, the flavors appropriately fruity, and a finish soft and appealing.
