1978 Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker Notes Almost 8% of this wine's final blend is Merlot and Cabernet Franc, an important factor contributing to its agreeable softness. There is still plenty of Cabernet flavor, however, and the wine should continue to improve.

Winemaking Data Grapes were harvested at an average of 23.3° Brix and aged 18 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels before being blended, fined with fresh egg whites, and bottled in August 1980.
