1976 Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes The drought year of 1976 was responsible for a string of successful red wines, a result of the combination of reduced crop level and otherwise ideal weather during the growing season. Our 1976 Cabernet has the strength expected from a great vintage and should develop into a remarkable wine, and today the wine displays a richness and depth of flavor that has exceeded those expectations.
Winemaking Data Grapes were harvested at an average of 23.5° Brix and aged 2 years in 60-gallon French oak barrels before being blended, fined with fresh egg white, and bottled in December 1978.
