Forbes Top Ten Holiday Wines

Forbes Top Ten Holiday Wines

Forbes Top Ten Wines For Your Holiday Table by Katie Kelly Bell:

2016 Joseph Phelps Insignia
Joseph Phelps Insignia Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016. Phelps’ first vintage of this wine dates back to 1974—so you can be sure the winery has had some practice getting it right. It’s big, sassy, luscious and rich with concentrated notes of black cherry, plum, mocha, dark chocolate and cassis. There is a pleasing earthy undercurrent to this wine and good structure so it’s built to age but will perform beautifully at your holiday table—just be sure to open and decant the wine several hours before pouring.
