A full-bodied chardonnay with apples, honeysuckle and spice. Good minerality. Citrusy finish. Nice length.
Succeeds in playing the Chardonnay card just where consumers want it. With some new oak, it's packed with tangerine, apricots, green apple and peach flavors, made brisk by acidity and finished with honeyed ripeness.
Here's a nicely crafted example of a good Chardonnay that carries its oak well. The nose is creamy and buttery, with toasty and rich elements countered by good tropical fruit and apple notes. Honeyed and juicy on the palate, this wine has a long, spicy finish. I love the pineapple, vanilla and apple flavours in this big, yet stylish Chardonnay. Suitable for drinking now or over the next five years. Enjoy with pasta, beef, poultry or lobster.
