Welcome to Joseph Phelps Vineyards. We offer different styles of tastings: Terrace Tastings, Private Tastings and several Exceptional Wine Experiences. Please call the Guest Center directly at (800) 707-5789 or (707) 967-3720 to make your reservation.

All visits to Joseph Phelps Vineyards require an appointment.

Due to licensing restrictions, no animals are permitted at the Joseph Phelps Vineyards Guest Center except certified service animals.

TERRACE TASTING
Limit six guests per party. This is a casual, self-paced tasting on our back terrace (weather permitting), or indoors in our Oval Room. This includes a tasting of approximately six wines, featuring our flagship wine, Insignia, without the in-depth, more formal presentation of the seminar setting. These tastings are offered Monday through Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the last tasting beginning at 3:30 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, tastings begin at 10:00 a.m. with the last tasting beginning at 2:30 p.m. There are two Terrace Tasting options, $35 and $70; both include our flagship wine, Insignia.

If you are a Phelps Preferred member, your Phelps Preferred Membership entitles you to enjoy 4 complimentary tastings per visit, either in one of our four main Exceptional Wine Experiences or a Terrace Tasting (excludes the Limited Edition Wine & Cheese Pairing and Insignia Historical Tasting). [Additional guests enjoy tasting our wines or attending an Exceptional Wine Experience at half-price.]

Taplin Road is located off the Silverado Trail outside of St. Helena, a quarter-mile north of Zinfandel Lane, just north of Auberge du Soleil [map].

Please Note: Enhanced traffic is expected in the St. Helena area of Highway 29 between Mee Lane and Charter Oak Avenue, September 2012 through June 2013, due to a long-term road construction project. We recommend leaving yourself extra travel time during your visit to Napa Valley.

Directions from San Francisco International Airport (SFO):
Take 101 North (9.2 mi) to I-80 East (signs for Bay Bridge / Oakland)
Continue to follow I-80 East (32.4 mi) (*Partial toll road)
Take exit 33 to merge onto CA-37 West, toward Napa (2.2 mi)
Take exit 19 for CA-29 / Sonoma Blvd toward Napa, turn right at CA-29 North / Sonoma Blvd.
Continue to follow CA-29 N (27.5 mi) Turn right on Zinfandel Ln (1.4 mi)
Turn left at Silverado Trail (0.5 mi)
Take the first right onto Taplin Rd. (0.2 mi)
